Boots of any variety should not be loose though, at any stage of the trim cycle. Hi, yes, Gloves, having no fastening system, must fit tightly & near perfectly, but the 'Back Country' with the Trail uppers to fasten them, are more 'general purpose' & not necessary to be such a perfect fit. With the Easy boot though all the hoof parts are basically gloves and the gator is what changes the name of the boot. Some are more round and some more oblong. Most of it does depend on how your horse fits into the individual boot. That works great and once that was done She no longer had a problem with dirt and sand getting into the boot. Most recently my trimmer has started heat fitting the boots to ensure a better fit. I also grab the gator and pull while my horse puts her foot down to make sure her hoof is all the way into the boot.

The boot itself should fit snug and you can even gently use a rubber mallet to get it on the hoof. So what I use now is the easyboot glove and that is similar to the renegad above but there is no metal. The Deltas were also very big and extremely bulky and at one time she fell down and cut her nose on the edge of them. I did have to use pastern wraps with them and that added another whole mess of issues. I used the Cavalla Delta boots and they stayed on no matter what was done. The socks also fell down and got all wrinkled and bunched up. I tried really thick special sport socks but everyone was laughing so hard when they would see us it was kind of sad. I tried the Renegades and although they were super easy on and off and did stay on my horse they could not be worn with a pad and also she picked up even more dirt in that heel bulb area and it was irritating to her. The Velcro also wore out in a short amount of time. I could never get a good fit and they did pick up allot of dirt. I personally didn't like the easyboot trails or the outback gloves because they stay on through Velcro across the heal bulbs. As far as I know or at least in my area Easy Boot has a 30 day money back guarantee so if it is in the time frame call them up and see if you can exchange or swap them with something else.
